Every time I come to campus, I’m struck by the changes. Cleveland Clinic’s new buildings are magnificent on the outside and breathtaking inside. I can only imagine the amazing things that Cleveland Clinic will be able to accomplish now.

To me, it’s yet another example of how the best just keep getting better. Cleveland Clinic is already a leader in heart care and urology, and now, with these great new facilities and technology, it is just getting better. It’s hard to believe, yet it’s happening right before us.

As campaign chairman, it’s rewarding to help make these exciting projects a reality, and, in turn, help Cleveland Clinic transform the future of healthcare. I applaud the Miller and Glickman families, who have led the way with their generosity, and the more than 30,000 people who have made gifts to help build these new care facilities, brick by brick. These buildings, more than half funded by donations, are a perfect example of how philanthropy can propel innovation.

If you are one of the people who have joined in this effort with your time or resources, you must feel the same sense of pride that I do watching these buildings rise. If you haven’t pledged your support, I encourage you to consider doing so. Making these buildings possible and creating the opportunity to offer care to more patients is extremely rewarding to those of us who have had a chance to be involved.

Watching these buildings go up has been amazing. What is more impressive is the potential for innovations to come, as Cleveland Clinic doctors and nurses seek new answers, revolutionize traditional treatments and reinvent the patient care experience.

This is a pivotal moment. We aren’t just opening the doors to Cleveland Clinic’s new buildings. We’re opening the doors to the healthcare of tomorrow.
